Beta reader of "Rogues in Paradise", said they loved The books' characters. But, most wanted more. How did they get to Barbados? Where did they come from? What was life like where they came from? and what were their African names? This was not known. In addition, many of the book's characters, also were eager to know more about their African heritage. DNA testing seemed to offer the way forward.



DNA can aid in tracing roots, it is necessary to keep in mind that close relatives might not all share the same genetic matches. They might not share the exact same DNA, and because situation, will not constantly have precise genetic suits. In order for you to share DNA with a cousin, you have to both inherit the same DNA from forefathers.

Where did they come from? and what were they called? Information like this was not known. In addition, many of the book's characters, wanted to know more about their African heritage. It seemed that DNA might help fill in the gaps.
